Purpose

Communicating, interpreting, and enforcing all company policies and procedures as you assist employees with HR related inquiries received within appropriate SLA’s.  You will provide direction to the management team regarding recommendations and resolution while always treating the employee with dignity and respect.

 

Where necessary you will conduct basic investigations as well as assist in complex cases in conjunction with the Tier 2 Employee Relations Specialist and Employee Relations Management Team.  You will document impeccably and maintain accurate information pertaining to all cases.  You will be required to build strong partnerships and work closely with all levels of management, Human Resources Business Partners, Legal Department, Global Incident Response Team, and HR Knowledge Center. 

 

This position is 100% work at home.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of company policy, culture and values in order to make recommendations about the resolution of employment related issues; while supporting vital positive interactions between managers and employees.
  • Resolve all cases as assigned within appropriate SLA’s while providing the best possible experience to the employee.
  • Conduct basic investigations and assist in those more complex regarding matters such as allegations of harassment, discrimination, accommodation, and retaliation.
  • Promote knowledge and understanding of Company policy and relevant employment laws through coaching, and training as required to the Operations Team, or as needed among other departments within the organization.
  • Create and maintain excellent documentation regarding all cases and investigations you support and where applicable assist in creation of disciplinary actions, or other documentation related to employee performance concerns. 
  • Assist with other Employee Relations project work and consultations related to the employee experience as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working in Human Resources with an emphasis on Employee Relations preferred with exposure and work in employee investigations.
  • Experience leading multiple, concurrent, employee relations activities with a focus on providing clear guidance and timely and consistent execution.
  • Effective in detailing and documenting case notes, investigation summaries, and correspondence with employees and partners.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team, while developing strong professional relationships with peers, managers, executives, and cross-functional teams across diverse organizations.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Solid understanding and capability to communicate about Federal, state and local regulations; ADA, FMLA and Leave of Absence procedures.
  • Ability to do business with an absolute commitment to the TP USA Values.
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment with a heavy focus on Employee Relations and Investigations
