Purpoe of Position

The Platform Operations Specialist is responsible for the daily administration and operational management of our internal data services platform. This includes configuring user roles, managing permissions, overseeing data workflows, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The specialist develops automation scripts to streamline processes and partners with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, maintain uptime, and continuously improve platform operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration: Configure user roles, permissions, and project settings in line with evolving client and internal needs.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee day-to-day platform activities—from data ingestion to task organization and final output management—to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate platform issues, coordinate with technical teams, and implement timely solutions or escalations.
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop Python scripts to reduce manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all platform activities comply with data security, privacy, and organizational policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of operational procedures, incident reports, and process improvements for future reference.

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Specific Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Technical training or certifications in system administration, cloud services, or SaaS platforms are advantageous.

Work Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in platform administration, system operations, or a similar technical support capacity.
  • Previous experience managing SaaS or enterprise-level platforms is preferred.

Special Certifications (Non-Mandatory)

  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) or system administration credentials (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft Certified) are a plus.

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Python scripting for task automation.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, system integration tools, and monitoring solutions.
  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with version control (Git) and incident management frameworks.
